Catholic schools in Meghalaya to remain shut today in mourning for Pope Francis

Catholic schools and colleges in Meghalaya will remain closed on Friday as a sign of respect for Pope Francis, following a request from Auxiliary Bishop B Laloo. The Bishop of Jowai Archdiocese has also issued similar instructions for institutions under his jurisdiction. Additionally, all parishes have been asked to hold Holy Mass on Saturday at 10 am.
