The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission cancelled the TNPSC Group II A mains examination in Chennai after a technical glitch caused wrong allocation of exam centres. About 600 candidates were misassigned, leading to overcrowding as nearly 1,000 candidates arrived at a centre equipped for only 300. Over 9,000 candidates were scheduled for 1,000 vacancies. Protests erupted after candidates were barred from writing.
